Update: Spring 2022 - The province is winding down Covid-19 restrictions. We want to thank you for patience throughout this pandemic and ask you bear with us a little longer. It is our preference to maintain curb side service at least until the month of May. At that time, we will assess the situation before deciding to open our doors to having clients in the building once again.

Much like other businesses, we have had some difficulty with supply-chain issues caused by Covid-19. Shipments of certain drugs and pet food products have been delayed or on backorder. Manufacturers have experienced difficulty in sourcing and/or accessing certain ingredients needed to manufacture their product. This is an issue beyond our control. However, we will make every attempt to supply the product as soon as possible or provide a suitable equivalent if it is available.

The advantages to curb side service during Covid-19 far out-weigh the disadvantages. Curb-side service has served us well keeping staff and clients protected as much as possible during this pandemic.

Revised: May 25, 2020 - COVID-19 is forcing change into our lives on a daily basis. With this in mind, we continue to review our clinic protocol to ensure our staff and clients stay as safe as possible. Our clinic protocol as follows:

  • A staff member will continue to be in the office to answer phone calls, and dispense food and medications with curbside pick up only. Prepayment with a credit/debit card is required. Clients are asked to call ahead to order prescription refills or pet food. We need to ensure the item is in stock, and will also advise of the pick-up procedure.

  • Our hours will remain Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please note that Tuesday and Thursday evening hours have been suspended for the duration of the emergency measures.

  • Clients calling to book appointments will be screened at time of booking, for illness or travel.

  • Upon arrival to the clinic, clients are requested to wait in the car until notified by a staff member. Using your cell phone, call the office (519-843-1783) to notify the staff of your arrival.

  • At the appropriate time a staff member will approach the client car and ask the protocol questions.

  • If the client is cleared, they will be asked to relinquish their pet to the staff member.

  • The pet will be taken into the clinic for the exam and/or procedure(s).

  • When Dr. Wright needs to talk to the client, he will do so outside being sure to maintain social distancing, or over the telephone.

  • Staff is taking precautions by spraying or wiping down all surfaces, and hand washing.

  • This protocol may be altered as the situation changes.

We ask that you please abide by these rules. We are in this together and need to do our very best to stop the spread of this virus. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the clinic at 519-843-1783.
