WRIGHT VETERINARY HOSPITAL COVID-19 PROTOCOL Revised: May 25, 2020
COVID-19 is forcing
change into our lives on a daily basis.
With this in mind, we continue to review our clinic protocol to ensure
our staff and clients stay as safe as possible. Our
clinic protocol as follows:
- A staff member will
continue to be in the office to answer phone calls, and dispense food and
medications with curbside pick up only.
Prepayment with a credit card is required. Clients are asked to
call ahead to order prescription refills or pet food. We need to ensure
the item is in stock, and will also advise of the pick-up procedure.
- Our hours will
remain Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 12:30
p.m. Please note that Tuesday and
Thursday evening hours have been suspended for the duration of the
emergency measures.
- Clients calling to
book appointments will be screened at time of booking, for
illness or travel.
- Upon arrival to the
clinic, clients are requested to wait in the car until notified by a staff
member. Using your cell phone, call the office (519-843-1783) to notify
the staff of your arrival.
- At the appropriate
time a staff member will approach the client car and ask the protocol
questions.
- If the client is
cleared, they will be asked to relinquish their pet to the staff member.
- The pet will be
taken into the clinic for the exam and/or procedure(s).
- When Dr. Wright
needs to talk to the client, he will do so outside being sure to maintain
social distancing, or over the telephone.
- It is preferred the client pay the
invoice by giving the staff their Visa
or Mastercard number over the phone. This eliminates the need for the client to enter
the building.
- If the client does
not have Visa or Mastercard, the client will only enter the building to
pay the invoice, keeping social distance as much as possible. No lingering. Only one client will be allowed in
the clinic.
- Staff is taking
precautions by spraying or wiping down all surfaces, and hand washing.
- This protocol may be altered as the situation changes.
We ask that you please abide by these rules. We are in this
together and need to do our very best to stop the spread of this virus. If you have any questions or concerns,
please call the clinic at 519-843-1783. |
